On behalf of the HDMF Board I would like to thank you for considering making a donation to the High Desert Mural Festival. Your financial support allows us to continue our mission of supporting projects that enhance the public arts culture of Central Oregon. Facilitating public murals in our community & helping to foster local visual arts education remain our focus as we begin to plan our 2018 agenda.
In 2018 our arts education outreach will again include the Teen Mural Project class & will also include assisting Elk Meadow Elementary develop & teach a 5th grade mural compilation class. Both of these classes will paint their murals in early May on the new two sided Elk Meadow art wall that is in the process of being built on the school’s grounds. Our HDMF Project Bend program will continue facilitating murals in the Makers District, the Midtown Art Alley & the Cosmic Depot art wall.
The HDMF adds to our regular annual project list by ambitiously announcing the goal of the completion of 10 new murals in Bend in 2018! The voices of our local art community were heard & the City of Bend issued the first legal mural permit for The Open Book on Greenwood Avenue. This is the beginning of transforming the Makers District into a beautiful, mural filled neighborhood that will inspire our community. We know that this will contribute to the area’s economic success & vitality. We look forward to 2018 & hope we can count on your continued financial support!
Thank you again…we couldn’t make murals happen without support like yours.
